The Gregg County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Division was established in 2011 when Gregg County partnered with the Texas Department of Public Safety.  Gregg County secured a hanger located at the East Texas Regional Airport.  The hanger was renovated and his home to an American Eurocopter AS350 B2E.  The helicopter and flight staff area provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety.  The Gregg County Sheriff’s Office provides additional flight staff and support for the aviation operation.
